Fraksi PKS DPR RI menilai sangat lambat upaya pemerintah membela TKI/TKW di luar negeri. Terlihat jelas kelambanan tersebut menilik dari kasus yang dialami Ruyati. PKS secara khusus menyoroti lemahnya kemampuan lobi Kementerian Luar Negeri (Kemlu).

“PKS menilai kemampuan lobi jajaran Kemlu terbukti payah,” kata Koordinator TPF Kasus Ruyati yang dibentuk FPKS, Bukhori Yusuf , Kamis (23/6).

Bukhori menambahkan perlu Presiden SBY membentuk Tim Lobi Khusus agar dapat menembus , tidak hanya pembelaan formal di pengadilan Arab Saudi kalau mengalami kasus hukum terkait TKI/TKW, tapi mampu berkomunikasi dengan Pemerintah Kerajaan Arab Saudi dan juga keluarga korban.

“PKS mengusulkan tim bersifat ad-hoc, diisi oleh orang-orang yang kuat dalam pemahaman budaya dan hukum di Arab Saudi serta memiliki jaringan komunikasi yang baik dengan berbagai kalangan di Indonesia, Arab Saudi maupun dunia internasional,” ucap Bukhory.

Kasus Ruyati, jelas Bukhory, Tim Pencari Fakta (TPF) PKS menemukan selama menghadapi hukuman Ruyati tidak ditemani oleh pengacara selama persidangan. Ruyati hanya ditemani oleh penerjemah. (prihandoko/B)
